Shemar Moore Shares Last Text From Kristoff St. John

According to Extra, Actor, Shemar Moore, is still mourning the the loss of his mentor, Kristoff St. John. St. John died at the age of 52, in February. Extra reports that he died of heart disease, which was agitated by alcohol abuse and the effects of ethanol. Kristoff handpicked Shemar Moore to be his "The Young and the Restless" co-star. On "The Talk," Moore shared snippets of a text message that he received from Kristoff St. John right before his death. It included: "You were a squeaky clean Lil boy, with stars in your eyes. Now you are the center of an entire solar system. You have survived against all odds. In a business that doesn't want US." Kristoff added, ""Keep pressing. Keep grinding." Moore admits that he cried a lot over St. John's accidental death, but now wants to celebrate his life, adding "I want to smile and laugh and remember him and never forget him and celebrate him for his goofy ways, talent, and professionalism."

Just days before being canned by President Donald Trump, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper denied serving as the president's yes-man in the Pentagon.
