Live-Action 'Aladdin' On Track For $80 Million Opening Weekend

Comicbook.com reports Disney's live-action Aladdin is likely to see a money-making opening weekend. According to early box office tracking numbers from Variety, Aladdin is estimated to make $80 million over Memorial Day weekend. Jon Favreau's live-action Jungle Book in 2016 made $103 million in its opening weekend. Earlier this year, the studio's live-action remake of 'Dumbo' made just $46 million. A highly anticipated remake of The Lion King hits theaters this summer. 'Aladdin' hits theaters on May 24th.
