Russian Police Detain Over 400 At Protest Of Jailed Journalist

According to a report by Reuters, on Wednesday, Russian police detained over 400 people, including opposition politician Alexei Navalny, at a protest calling for punishment for police officers involved with allegedly framing a journalist. One day earlier, police abruptly dropped drug charges against investigative journalist Ivan Golunov, a rare reversal by authorities in the face of anger from supporters who say he was targeted over his work as a journalist.
