Julia Roberts Says College Admissions Scandal Is "So Sad"

Julia Roberts has weighed in on the celebrity college admissions scandal that recently led to the arrests of fellow Hollywood actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman. Business Insider reports Roberts said in an interview on ITV's "Lorraine" that she thinks the scandal is "so sad" for the students involved. She said, "Because I feel from an outsider that it says a little bit, 'I don't have faith in you.'" More than fifty wealthy families were charged in the scandal.

    TMZ reports that Lori Loughlin has been released from prison. Loughlin was released from Dublin Federal Correctional Institute early Monday morning. She spent nearly two months in the facility. She was two days shy of the length of her original sentence when she was released. Loughlin took a plea in the college bribery scandal of 2019. In August, Loughlin was sentenced to two months in prison, a $150,000 fine, two years of supervised release, and 100 hours of community service.
