‘The Hunger Games’ Franchise Heads Into Prequel Territory


The fourth and final Hunger Games film, Mockingjay – Part 2, only came out four years ago. But the series made nearly $3 billion at the box office, placing it in the top-20 of highest-grossing cinematic franchises ever. And because of that, a prequel movie is already under consideration. Uproxx reports Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins announced on Monday that she’s working on a new book set during the “Dark Days,” 64 years before Katniss, played by Jennifer Lawrence, volunteered as tribute.
