If you're looking for an immersive gaming experience for your laptop, look no more. This is the Project Valerie gaming laptop from tech company Razer, which they are billing as the world's first automated triple display gaming laptop. The company unveiled their new gaming set-up at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week. The concept laptop features three 17 inch 4K screens, two of which are designed to slide out from the central monitor. When folded, the laptop measures 15 inches and weighs about 12 pounds. Project Valerie features an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card. The release date and price are still unknown and despite being only a prototype, Project Valerie has already won several awards at the CES. This concept laptop may be the best way to experience immersive gaming on the go.
HP has come up with an alternative to remove the hassle of clipping privacy filters onto a screen, by creating a display that is permanent, user friendly, and built right into the display. HP has teamed up with 3M to develop this privacy filter that can be added during manufacturing to make it permanently available on the screen. The best part is the filter can be enabled and disabled whenever you want with a simple keyboard shortcut to turn it on or off. Modern day screens allows viewing angles of around 170 degrees, allowing other people to be able to see the screen from wherever they are standing. HP and 3M's filter will reduce the angle down to 70 degrees, so that the only person using the laptop has a view of it. HP plans to add the privacy filter screen to its business laptops by mid-2017.
A new breed of laptop screen that much easier on the eyes but retains the qualities needed for multimedia will soon be here and we got a chance to see the first samples.
This animation illustrates the composition and function of the "digital stage" in the Audi Q6 e-tron with the curved MMI panoramic display and the optional MMI front passenger display and augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD).
The Audi Q6 e-tron model series has a fully connected and digital interior based on the new electronic architecture. Made up by the Audi MMI panoramic display and the MMI passenger display, the so-called Digital Stage is a key feature of the interior. The clearly grouped displays are perfectly integrated into the design concept and give the interior a generous and airy feeling of space.
