The all-new Toyota bZ4X SUV has arrived in Australian showrooms, with Toyota’s first BEV introducing a new BEV-specific platform, the latest motor generator and battery technology, and advanced safety and connected technologies.Launching in its latest global specification, the bZ4X draws on more than a quarter of a century of Toyota leadership in hybrid vehicles. The bZ4X represents another important step in the multi-pathway approach to electrification that includes a range of technologiesThe bZ4X is the first Toyota to use the new BEV-dedicated e-TNGA platform, which has been designed and optimised for a new range of electric vehicles. It integrates the battery and motor generator into the vehicle’s structure, providing extra rigidity and a low centre of gravity for stable driving dynamics. This approach allows the wheels to be pushed further outward to the front and rear, leaving more room for passengers within the vehicle’s footprint. It also offers the versatility of front or all-wheel-drive traction – the latter providing benchmark off-road capability among all-electric SUVs.The e-TNGA platform gave designers the freedom to create an innovative BEV that embodies the inherent appeal of an SUV shape, while achieving impressive aerodynamic efficiency.The front-wheel-drive (FWD) bZ4X is equipped with poly-ellipsoidal LED headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels, numerous convenience and safety details, heated side mirrors with auto power folding, power tailgate and privacy glass for rear side, quarter and back windows.The interior features fabric and SofTex (synthetic leather) trim, eight-way power adjustable driver seat, heated front seats, leather-accented steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, smart entry and start, four cupholders and eight bottle holders.The latest Toyota multimedia technology is housed within a 12.3-inch touchscreen and is compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. Enhanced voice recognition using the “Hey, Toyota” command can control several functions such as “Open all windows”. This multimedia suite is augmented by the latest Toyota Connected Services online features, including integration with the myToyota Connect smartphone app, which is offered for a complimentary period of 12 months.The bZ4X comes with BEV specific connected features such as charge station locators and charge management functionality within the myToyota Connect smartphone app. Over-the-air updates, cloud navigation and live traffic information are included. The latest Toyota Safety Sense suite integrates a comprehensive array of safety technologies within a BEV structure designed to protect passengers, the battery and other vehicles and pedestrians.

The Toyota Prius enters the 2023 model year as a completely transformed model. With a sleek new exterior design, a reimagined interior, and an amped up hybrid powertrain, this new Prius is built for style, performance, and efficiency. Altogether, it’s a progressive, sporty new Prius, that’s designed to inspire the senses.Under the hood the 2023 Prius also shakes things up, with a larger 2.0L engine and a revised hybrid system that brings over 60% more combined system horsepower, with 196 net hp (up from 121 hp). Maximum engine torque for this generation climbs nearly 16%, up from 120 to 139 lb.-ft. on all models. Torque on electric motor generator two, which drives the front wheels and regenerates the battery during braking, also increases by over 20% - climbing from 120 to 152 lb.-ft.Prius makes its power gains while keeping it lean at the pump. Despite being more powerful, the new 2023 Prius remains as fuel efficient as the previous all-wheel drive model, with a NRCan combined fuel consumption of 4.8 L/100 km. The AWD system also receives power upgrades, with 50 % more torque in the rear motor, moving from 41 to 62 lb.-ft., and 40 horsepower (previously 7 hp).
Corolla’s stylish, dynamic, and athletic personality makes an excellent first impression. With its low centre of gravity and firmly planted stance, Corolla is poised for action from every angle. All grades now feature LED daytime running lights, while the S-Line Corollas also receive newly designed LED headlights and an all-new rear sport diffuser. The sporty S-Line further accentuates Corolla’s fun-to-drive nature with styling cues such as a wider honeycomb grille, dual tip exhaust, and rear spoiler.Inside, Corolla offers the driver and up to four passengers a cabin designed for exceptional comfort and convenience. The instrument panel is cleverly shaped to widen the driver’s field of view. Soft-touch controls provide ease of use while generous use of premium materials conveys an elevated sense of style.For 2023, Toyota makes big changes under the hood – upgrading all L-line Corolla models from a 1.8L engine to the same 2.0L Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine found in the sportier S series. This upgrade boosts output by 30 horsepower to 169 peak horsepower for even swifter acceleration. At the same time, the 2.0L engine boost fuel efficiency. Paired to a direct shift CVT and electric power steering, every Corolla delivers big driving fun.
The high performance of G5 has changed the stereotype of domestic users towards an electric scooter. G5 can rival the fuel-powered motorcycles and challenge steep mountain roads. A female rider drove G5 to challenge the most precipitous road section of Chongqing’s Gele Mountain, which is known as the "Akina" in the motorcycle field. However, G5 easily conquered it, and its explosive power and overall control greatly surprised the female rider who has been used to riding big fuel motorcycles.
