Sprint legend Usain Bolt, a retired multiple Olympic and World Champion, announces on Twitter that he has signed with a football club whose name he will reveal on Tuesday. This comes after Bolt announced at the start of the year that he would undergo a trial at German top-flight club Borussia Dortmund.
There's nobody quite like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang when it comes to goal celebrations. The Borussia Dortmund star has plenty of opportunities to celebrate this season, since he has 15 goals in just 12 Bundesliga games so far. He says he hopes to be remembered as "the craziest football player ever." Aubameyang is also incredibly fast. In 2013, he clocked 3.7 seconds in a 30-meter training run. That is eight hundredths of a second faster than Usain Bolt ran over the same distance during his 100 meter world record sprint in Berlin seven years ago.
The US women's basketball team claimed yet another gold at Rio 2016 Saturday as it trounced Spain by 101-72. Remarkably, it was the Americans' sixth straight Olympic triumph -- a record stretching to the Atlanta Games of 1996. Saturday's win also continued a 49-match Olympic winning streak and was comfortable even by the exacting standards of Team USA. Prior to Saturday's final, the US women had racked up an average margin of victory of 38.4 points across its seven games in Rio.

The Washington Redskins claimed the linebacker off waivers Tuesday, but he won't immediately be taking the field. Foster has been placed on the NFL commissioner's exempt list, which means he cannot practice or attend games while the league reviews his arrest, league spokesman Brian McCarthy told CNN. The Redskins' move sparked outrage at a time when the NFL is trying to overcome criticism that it has been too lenient on players who have been accused of domestic violence. A column Tuesday in USA Today said the team's addition of Foster sends a "vile, inexcusable message."
