Apple May Release A More Affordable Laptop Before The End Of The Year

Rumors are swirling that Apple will release a new laptop model before the end of the year. According to Business Insider, the new computer will come equipped with a fingerprint reader but will not feature the controversial Touch Bar. Reports say the laptop will replace the current 12-inch MacBook offered by Apple. According to Bloomberg, the new version will have a much higher resolution 13-inch display than the current MacBook Air models and will be targeted at consumers and schools

Gizmodo reports ailing theater chain AMC might be totally broke by the end of 2020. In financial filings, the company disclosed on Tuesday that it may require 'additional sources of liquidity or increases in attendance levels' to survive. In other words, it'll need more cash or more butts on seats--or both. The company cites low attendance and a delayed movie release schedule during the coronavirus pandemic. If those don’t change, AMC may pursue additional debt and equity financing, renegotiations with landlords, asset sales, or joint ventures. They're not alone.
