Mexico City, Oct 14 (EFE).- Mexico City began planting 260,000 marigold flowers Thursday as part of the preparations for the Day of the Dead celebration, which is set to return this year after suspension due to COVID-19 pandemic, capital authorities reported."As part of the Day of the Dead festivities, the Government of Mexico City, through the Secretariat of Public Works and Services (SOBSE), began with the planting of 260,000 marigolds in the central reserve and green areas of the main avenues of the capital," the Government of Mexico City said in a statement.
