Sri Lankan government on Sunday restricted the number of air passengers arriving in the country for two week and also closed schools, universities, movie theaters and have canceled all other mass gathering events across the country in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Colombo, Jul 29 (EFE/EPA).-Sri Lankan health workers wearing protective gear performed Thursday COVID -19 swab tests in Colombo.Sri Lanka is currently in the midst of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic and the number of cases is increasing day by day. Colombo, Jul 5 (EFE/EPA).- Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps personnel carried out Monday a vaccination drive with China's Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine at a public park in Colombo. Sri Lanka has so far received over six million doses of Covid-19 vaccine with the stock of newly arrived 26,000 doses of Pfizer- BioNTech Comirnaty Covid19 vaccines Monday. Sri Lanka is currently using Oxford AstraZeneca, China's Sinopharm, Russian Sputnik V, Covid -19 vaccines for the Vaccine rollout.
