Thailand develops liquid form of favipiravir to expand treatment options for Covid-19 patients

Bangkok, Aug 5 (EFE/EPA).- University's Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Thai research organisation Medica Innova have co-developed Favipiravir syrup, an liquid antiviral drug to treat COVID-19 patients such as children or people over 70 years old who have difficulty swallowing tablets. The Favipiravir syrup will be available free of charge to COVID-19 infected people from Friday, 6 August.
