The James Webb Space Telescope, an observatory with a €9.5 billion price tag, will allow scientists to peer further into the cosmos than ever before.
The most powerful space observatory ever built will orbit the Sun 1.5 million km from Earth and is designed to last for 10 years.
"We’re one step closer to uncovering the mysteries of the universe. And I can’t wait to see Webb’s first new views of the universe this summer!” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson.
