Oil painting will never be the same after one innovative artist began using real petrol to create unique works of art. Known as the petrol painter, St. Petersburg, Russia based artist Vitaly Kasatkin is the first and only professional painter to use petrol in his work. Kasatkin opened the world’s first petrol painting school in Russia’s Komi Republic and is now teaching young students how to dip their brush into stinky petrol and let their imagination to run free.
Russian-born artist Anora Ashurova is an artist of the most unusual caliber. Although her painting style and carving work are certainly amazing, it's her choice of medium which makes her absolutely unique in the world. Anora paints and engraves deer skulls at her art studio in Llanes, a small coastal village in the Spanish province of Asturias, carving in ancient patterns and painting exquisite scenes which transform the skulls of dead animals into works of art with no rival. What's more, most of the skulls she works with are taken from local animals which once inhabited the wild areas next to her village before passing on.
Otsuka Museum of Art in Tokushima offers visitors the chance to see masterpieces from all over the world under one roof, and what’s more they can actually get inside the paintings too. Visitors donning traditional costumes to imitate the characters featured in the famous paintings.vThe museum boasts over 1,000 replicas of paintings including Van Gough's 'Sunflowers' and Leonardo da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa' made out of a ceramic material that museum curators boast will last more than 2000 years.
This is a sneak peek at the newest exhibition at the Smithsonian Museum called 'The Art of the Quran', which focuses on displaying Islam's holy book and items of Muslim art and culture to Americans to bridge cultures. The exhibition was organised by the Sackler Gallery in collaboration with the Museum of Turkish Islamic Arts in Istanbul. It features more than 60 of the most important and rarest Quran manuscripts ever produced in Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan, some of which were produced shortly after the Prophet Mohammed died some 1,300 years ago. The exhibition showcases Qurans of different origins, formats and styles, some massive and larger than life while others are ornately decorated, showing the wide range of Islamic art. These manuscripts were originally created for some of the most powerful rulers of the Islamic World, who empires spanned all of the Middle East, parts of India, North Africa, and even parts of Europe. The Art of the Quran is the first major US exhibition of early handwritten Quran manuscripts and the first time this unique collection has left Turkey. The Art of the Quran will open to the public on Saturday, October 22nd.

The service is currently available online and as an app for iOS and Android devices. Google has been offering an ad-free subscription version of Google Play Music for some time, allowing listeners to take their music offline and use background features for music videos on YouTube.
