Farmers on tractors block the A16 motorway near Beauvais in northern France. Demonstrations continue across France, the day after a meeting with the government of new French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and as a meeting of European ministers for the sector gets under way. IMAGES
French farmers are at the gates of the Rungis wholesale market, under the close surveillance of police who has set up a roadblock by the entrance. The President of the largest farmers union FNSEA is calling for "calm and reason" while the government is trying to appease the anger of the farming community. IMAGES
With their tractors and haystack-filled tipper lorries stationed on A6 motorway, French farmers are facing a police roadblock as they near Rungis, the world's second largest wholesale food market, just south of Paris. IMAGES
"Morale is at zero and now they're organising to get out," says an acquaintance of the farmer who was killed by a vehicle that rammed through a roadblock put up by protesting farmers in southwestern France. The victim's husband and teenage daughter were seriously injured. IMAGES
Protesting French farmers are blocking the A7 motorway in the Drome region of south-east France with around thirty tractors on both lanes, causing a traffic jam of several kilometres' length near the town of Albon. IMAGES
