Toyota's spectacular GR Super Sport concept was unveiled at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon last weekend. The GR Super Sport appears to draw inspiration from Toyota's LMP1, while using the same main components as the TS050 Hybrid. It's powered by a twin-turbo 2.4-liter V-6 hybrid system developed from the Toyota TS050 Hybrid’s powertrain and produces 986 horsepower. Is this the future of Toyota racing?
Some very creative and enterprising students from the Eindhoven University of Technology unveiled the world's first biocomposite car, dubbed 'Lina', at their university’s campus in Eindhoven on Wednesday. The vehicle, which is fully functional, weighs just over 660 pounds, runs on electric energy generated by a battery pack. The next step for Lina and the design team is to try and obtain a licence number for the car, which will enable her to be driven on public roads. In order to do this, they have to test the vehicle on the streets with the backing of the Dutch Vehicle Authority.
For anyone that loves fast and exotic cars 'The Fate of the Furious' is another great movie to go see in the series. In the film they have what they call the "Toy Shop" and it is filled with 80 of the hottest cars in the world. Check it out with special scenes from the movie.
