On Monday Italian regulators hit Apple with a 10 million euro ($12 million) fine. The fine is over claims Apple made about iPhones' water resistance. The regulator said Apple's claims about how deep and long its iPhones could go in water without sustaining damage were only true under laboratory conditions. The regulators also said Apple's warranty failed to help customers whose phones had been water-damaged. Business Insider reports that Apple claimed various iPhone models were water resistant from 3 and 13 feet for up to 30 minutes.
Apple has been hit with a €1.1 billion fine for anti-competitive practices in France.

According to Business Insider, Google doubled its capital expenditure. The company spent $25.8 billion in 2018. That included spending on offices and tech infrastructure. The multinational technology company Apple has been ordered to repay up to 13 billion euros ($14.5 billion) in tax benefits back to the Republic of Ireland due to an "illegal" breach of EU state aid rules, confirmed European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager from Brussels, Tuesday.
