Pieces of a mysterious yellow foam, resembling sponge, were discovered on the Cote d'Opale shoreline, in northern France on Tuesday, fueling a storm of speculation and loud reaction from the environmentalist community. The local authorities said that the foam, which appeared on the beach, could be the result of sea pollution and they intend to send it to specialized laboratories for further testing.
