Twitter Prepares New Feature to Filter Keywords

Twitter is apparently working on a new feature similar to once introduced by Instagram earlier this year. Having spent years addressing user harassment, including new anti-harassment rules and a trust and safety council, the social media platform is incorporating a keyword filter. Instead of handling unfavorable content after the fact, the new feature will balance the freedom of expression, as users will be able to define the content they see based on a word filter. But Twitter's filter will go one step further, allowing users to block specific hashtags and phrases as well.
